Intronaut – The Direction of Last Things (Century Media – 2015)
While I generally prefer the earlier, more visceral end of their catalogue, Intronaut has been one of my favourite bands for over a decade. With only one minor hiccup in my mind being the bridging album ‘Valley of Smoke’ between their heavier older stuff and more melodic newer stuff. But I couldn’t resist posting the video for ‘Fast Worms’ and urging people to make their way back through this rich discography. The band manages to balance a delicate touch with the weight of a small moon orbiting around jazz and metal. Check it out, for your health.
